Taylor Machine Works is known worldwide for its ability to design and produce specialized equipment for an ever changing marketplace. The T-550RR is no exception. The T-550RR is specially designed for use on RORO (Roll On/Roll Off) ships. RORO ships have built-in ramps which allow the cargo to efficiently "rolled on" and "rolled off" the ship when in port. With an overall height of only 112-inches (top of cab) and an overall width of 134-inches, the T-550RR is well suited for operating within confined spaces. The offset cab features dual operating controls and a seat capable of rotating 180° degrees to allow the operator to face the direction of travel.

Drive Train

The T-550RR RORO truck uses a Tier Certified Cummins® electronic turbocharged, charge air aftercooled (air to air) diesel engine. Standard engine features include electronic diagnostic and maintenance monitor, fuel/water separator and engine/transmission protection systems, improved fuel economy, and reduced emissions.

The transmission for the T-550RR is a four-speed, fully reversing, non-modulated powershift transmission with inching, mechanical shift control, and a separate air-to-oil cooler.
