Taylor Machine Works' newest addition to the TX line of lift trucks is the TX-520M and TX-550M. Built on a 170-in. wheelbase, both models feature a key-type anti-restart ignition system, two heavy-duty batteries, a 160-amp alternator, reset circuit breakers, four work lights, and tilt steering standard.

The forks are pin-mounted and fully adjustable from 100-in. outside to 2-in. inside the center brace. The carriage side wear pads are adjustable to compensate for wear. All rollers can be lubricated.

Keeping up with industrial demands for higher capacity equipment, Taylor has added the TX-650L built on a 180-in. wheelbase and the TX-700L built on a 190-in. wheelbase, to the already outstanding TX series of industrial pneumatic forklift trucks.

CANbus Technology

All machine controls are integrated using solid state controllers and J1939 CANbus technology. This allows controllers and sensors to communicate with minimal wiring between the components. I/O modules are used to eliminate electromechanical relay devices and add reliability to the machine control system. J1939 CANbus technology allows all machine data to be accessed through the main color display located in the cab. This display shows engine data along with warnings, spreader status lights, and man/ machine interface data. The display allows service personnel to access data needed during troubleshooting (such as sensor status and controller outputs). Machine functions can be tuned through the main display in the cab. Tuning functions are password protected to prevent operator access.

Drive Train

Each model in the TX Series line of 48-in. L.C. lift trucks uses a Tier Certified Cummins® electronic turbocharged, charge air aftercooled (air to air) diesel engine. Standard engine features include electronic diagnostic and maintenance monitor, fuel/water separator and engine/transmission protection systems, improved fuel economy, and reduced emissions.

The transmission for both models is a three-speed, fully reversing, fully electric, modulated powershift transmission with inching, electric roll shift control, and a separate air-to-oil cooler. Automatic powershift is standard.
