Taylor Machine Works' TX4 Series articulated
4-wheel drive (4WD) forklifts were specifically designed for one task, moving material in the harshest environments imaginable. Whether it's snow, mud, or rough terrain - the TX4 delievers unparalleled performance. Unlike other comparable articulated forklifts, this is not a front loader chassis with a fork attachment, but an articulated material handler completely designed and engineered by Taylor Machine Works.

With three different capacities available, the TX4 articulated 4-wheel drive (4WD) forklifts have the capability of out performing so-called front-end loader/forklifts. To achieve the same capacity from a front-end loader/forklift, the front-end loader/forklift would typically be larger than the 132-in wheelbase offered by the TX4 Series. The TX4 Series articulated 4-wheel drive (4WD) forklifts are true rough terrian forklifts and were designed to have no deration in full turns and 11-ft. of vertical lift from the factory.

CANbus Technology

All machine controls are integrated using solid state controllers and J1939 CANbus technology. This allows controllers and sensors to communicate with minimal wiring between the components. I/O modules are used to eliminate electromechanical relay devices and add reliability to the machine control system. J1939 CANbus technology allows all machine data to be accessed through the main color display located in the cab. This display shows engine data along with warnings, spreader status lights, and man / machine interface data. The display allows service personnel to access data needed during troubleshooting (such as sensor status and controller outputs). Machine functions can be tuned through the main display in the cab. Tuning functions are password protected to prevent operator access.

Drive Train

The engine for all models is a Tier Certified Cummins QSB6.7--C160 electronic turbocharged, charge air aftercooled (air to air) 6-cylinder diesel. Standard features for this engines include electronic diagnostic and maintenance monitor, fuel / water separator and engine / transmission protection systems, improved fuel economy, and reduced emissions.

The transmission for the TX4 Series is a three-speed, fully reversing, modulated powershift transmission with inching, electric roll shift control, and a separate air-to-oil cooler.
