Taylor has met the challenges of the intermodal industry with productive and reliable equipment since 1968. Responding to the needs of the industry, Taylor designed and built the RS Series reach stackers specifically for the complete intermodal yard and rail terminal.

RS-9964B

Specially designed for barge container stacking, the RS-9964B is built on a 295-in wheelbase and has a 1st row/4-high capacity of 99,000-lbs., a 2nd row/4-high capacity of 64,000-lbs., and a 3rd row/3-high capacity of 37,400-lbs. RS-9972C

The RS-9972C is built on a 256-in wheelbase. Now with greater capacity, it has a 1st row/4-high capacity of 99,000-lbs., a 1st row/5-high capacity of 90,400-lbs., a 2nd row/4-high capacity of 72,700-lbs., and a 3rd row/3-high capacity of 35,200-lbs. RS-9972C-6

The New RS-9972C-6 is built on the same 256-in wheelbase as the RS-9972C, but is capable of stacking six 9'6" containers in the first row. It has a 1st row/6-high capacity of 99,000-lbs., a 2nd row/5-high capacity of 72,700-lbs., and a 3rd row/4-high capacity of 35,200-lbs. RS-9977C

The RS-9977C is also built on a 256-in wheelbase and has a 1st row/4-high capacity of 99,000-lbs., a 1st row/5-high capacity of 90,400-lbs., a 2nd row/4-high capacity of 77,100-lbs., and a 3rd row/3-high capacity of 46,300-lbs. RS-9979R

The New RS-9979R is specially designed for the rail terminal in mind. The RS-9979R is built on a 295-in wheelbase making it capable of stacking two rail cars simultaneously. One special feature of this machine is the ability to raise the operator cab to increase visibility. It has a 1st row/5-high capacity of 99,000-lbs., a 2nd row/4-high capacity of 79,300-lbs., and a 3rd row/3-high capacity of 46,300-lbs. RS-9986C-6

The New RS-9986C-6 is another reach stacker capable of stacking six high in the first row. It has a 1st row/6-high capacity of 99,000-lbs., a 2nd row/5-high capacity of 86,000-lbs., and a 3rd row/4-high capacity of 46,300-lbs. All models are certified to meet the applicable design and performance criteria required for Powered Industrial Trucks in OSHA Safety and Health Standards, Title 29 CFR, Part 1910.178, and the applicable design and performance requirements in ANSI B56.1 that were in effect at the time of manufacture. These standards also apply to the user and should be adhered to while operating these vehicles. These vehicle are also certified to meet the applicable design and performance criteria required by F.E.M. 4.001q stability standard for freight container handling variable reach industrial trucks.

TAYLOR RS Series Adds CANBUS Technology

The RS Series Reach Stackers from Taylor Machine Works extends to the end-user expanded resources for impressive improvements to the bottom-line. All machine controls are integrated through use of solid state controllers and CAN-bus technology. Input/Output modules eliminate electromechanical relay devices adding reliability to machine control systems. CAN-bus technology permits communication between controllers and sensors with significantly reduced wiring.

The main color display located in the cab shows engine data, warnings, spreader lights status, and man/machine interface data. All machine data can be accessed through this display; ready access to these data by service personnel makes troubleshooting easier and faster with a resulting decline in machine downtime. These data tell service personnel the location of any problem as well as its nature. CAN-bus modules are self-diagnostic. The CAN-bus also permits remote access where GSM modem service is available.
